Of course there are people of all persuasions everywhere, in every state. But when it comes to the majority population in any state, out in cabbageville its bright red, and the larger metropolitan areas are blue. That's the way this country is divided and its not gonna be changing. For sure not in my lifetime. You don't really know anyone's politics until you start talking to them.
I have found it to be about half and half.
The last time we had a really major change In the political demographics in this country was in the late 70's/early 80's, when the white supremacist racists of the American south decided they were more comfortable in the racist republican party. It was pretty clear by then that the republican party was no longer the party of Lincoln.
